The
correct and particular way of taking the bath is: First of all make intention
or niyyah in the heart for taking bath. Then wash hands up to the wrists, then
wash the private parts of the body (perform intinja). Then remove the major
uncleanliness, if any, from the body. Then perform the ablution according to
Islamic law but do not wash the feet but if you sit on any stool then you
should wash the feet. Then pour water on the whole body and you can also use
soap for washing your body. Then you pour water on the right shoulder three
times and then pour water on the left shoulder three times. Then pour water on
the head and on the whole body. Then wash your feet if you do not wash earlier.
You
should not face Qiblah during bath and choose the place where no one can see
you. If you choose the close wash room then it is good for you but if it is not
possible then the male should hide private parts of his body with thick cloth
so that the colour of the hidden parts should not be visible. During bath do
not talk to anyone or recite any verse. Soon after completion of bath, you
should wear the clothes.
