When the time of prayer
approaches, one person stands up and recites these words by putting the
forefingers in both ears:
“Allah is the Greatest,
Allah is the Greatest,
Allah is the Greatest,
Allah is the Greatest,
I testify that none is worthy
of worship but Allah,
I testify that none is worthy
of worship but Allah,
I testify that Muhammad is the
Messenger of Allah,
I testify that Muhammad is the
Messenger of Allah,
Rush to prayer,
Rush to prayer,
Rush to well-being,
Rush to well-being,
Allah is the Greatest,
Allah is the Greatest,
None is worthy of worship but
Allah.”
In the call for Fajar prayer, the words
“Salat is better than sleep,
Salat is better than sleep,”
are also recited aloud twice
after these words
“Rush to well-being,
Rush to well-being.”
When the people get ready for
congregation prayer, one from the people stands up and recites these words. He
also adds these words twice
“The prayer is about to begin,
The prayer is about to begin.”
After the words
“Rush to well-being,
Rush to well-being.”
