HEC Awards GCUF Students Rs 23m Scholarships

Faisalabad, Higher Education Commission has accorded approval for award of scholarships to the students of Government College University Faisalabad. The HEC has approved scholarships up to Rs. 23 million which will be accorded with the collaboration of World Bank.

Prof Dr Zakir Hussain, VC of GCU Faisalabad thanked the HEC for grant of scholarships to the students of the University to get higher education. This huge amount will be awarded to about 214 students to complete their education. He also said that HEC has extended their supports to the students of different university and now they have granted the scholarships to over 10,000 students studying in local university or in the foreign countries. The HEC has also accorded the registration of the candidates from 330,000 to over one million and it will also get success in improving the ratio of students from 36% to 46% in the universities.
