There
are five ways of cleaning a well:
If
dirt of any kind falls in to the well, draw out the dirt and the whole water
from the well to make it clean and purify.
If
a human being, animals like pig, dog or a goat, two cats or any other animals
as large or bigger than these, falls in the well and dies there, all the water
must be taken out.
If
an animal with blood flowing in its veins, falls in the well and inflates or
bursts in the water of the well, the whole water should be impure and it should
be taken out whether the animal is big or small.
If
one pigeon, a hen, a cat or any other animal of same size falls into the well
but the animal does not inflate or burst, then 40 buckets of water are enough
to be drawn out.
If
a rat, sparrow or any other living thing of the same size falls and dies in the
well, 20 buckets of water are sufficient to be drawn out of the well.
