Method of Offering Prayer

When we start offering prayer, we should perform the ablution, wear clean clothes and stand on a clean place facing towards Qiblah. Then we should make the Niyyah (intention). Now raise both hands up to the ears and touch the lower part of the ear with our thumbs and say Allahu Akbar (in heart). Now lower the hands and fold them just below the navel.  Put the palm of your right hand on the back of the left hand. Do not look side ways while performing the prayer. Stand respectfully and focus your attention on Allah. Now recite Sana (Hymn) with folded hands. Then recite Ta’aw-Wuz and Tasmiyah accordingly. Then we will have to recite Surah Al-Fatiha as the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha in every Ra’kah is obligatory. Then say Ameen in the heart gently. Now you can recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and any other surah.
When you complete the recitation, then you bow for Ruku, pronouncing Allahu Akbar, during the Ruku keep holding the knees with your hands and recite the Tasbih of Ruku, three or five times or in any odd number:
‘Glory to my Lord, the Great’
Then you stand up while saying Tasmi:
‘Allah hears those who praise Him’
Now also say the Tahmid:
‘Our Lord, praise be to You’
While saying Takbir and go for Sajdah by putting first both the knees on the ground. Then place both the hands on the floor. In between the hands, place the tip of your nose on the floor, then forehead on the floor and recite the Tasbih of Sajdah, three or five times or in any odd number
‘Glory to my Lord, the Highest’
Then saying Takbir rise and sit erect. Then go into Sajdah again saying Takbir. After second Sajdah, stand up and fold your hands like in the first Ra’kah. After the completion of second Ra’kah, then sit up and recite the Tashah-Hud first, then Durud shareef. After completion of whole Tashah-Hud, say the Salam, first turning your face to the right and then to the left. In this way, you will complete two Ra’kah.
